Five-session culture and language program by Aurora Foundation, 2010-2011
Aurora Foundation offers the 2nd Japanese Culture and Language Program from October 2010 to June 2011 in coordination with Japanese American Cultural and Community Center or JACCC. Three hour session is held bimonthly at JACCC on the second Saturday of month at 1:00-4:00, inviting specialists in each field. The five-session program is designed to introduce selected aspects of the Japanese culture and useful language relevant to the culture. It will provide information and experience to develop communication strategies and cultural understanding through a collective study of language, culture, and communication. Additional 7/2/11 Graduation & Fall "Japan Culture Exploration Trip" orientation In fall 2011, there will be an optional "10-day Japan culture exploration tour" specially designed for the program participants. In spring 2010, the first Japanese Culture and Language Program tour enjoyed cherry blossoms at their best, while in fall 2011 we plan to have cultural experiences surrounding beautiful colors of autumn.
The Japanese Culture and Language Program by Aurora Foundation is conducted under the directorship of Yoko Pusavat, Professor Emeritus, California State University, Long Beach, Transnational Culture and Communication Specialist.
