This is 2nd series of Heisei Ultraman Series after Ultraman Tiga.  The story takes place in the year AD 2017, when humans have entered terra-forming on other plants, called "Age of the Neo Frontier".  One day, the Neo Frontier is attacked by mysterious objects known as the Spheres while Shin Asuka, new member of a new GUTS team, "Super GUTS," is in the middle of traning.  He fought back; however, his ship is damaged.  Then he encounters a shining light which merges with him. This is apperance of a giant being... it is not Ultraman Tiga, but a new giant of light, "Ultraman Dyna".
