Perth Mint Reveals 2011 Gold and Silver Bullion Coin Designs
2011 Australian Lunar Series
Each year since 1996, the Perth Mint of Australia has been celebrating the renewal of the Chinese Lunar calendar with the release of a series of gold and silver coins. Investors and coin collectors are awaiting the release of the 2011 Australian Lunar Series coins. While they're not out yet, pre-orders are now being accepted.

"Year of the Rabbit" Gold and Silver Coins
Featuring a beautifully detailed depiction of a rabbit pair on the reverse, the Year of the Rabbit lunar coins feature a classic effigy of Queen Elizabeth II on obverse. The English script "Year of the Rabbit" traces the shape of the coin under the feet of the rabbits, while just above their heads appear the Chinese symbol for "rabbit." This series will be produced in sizes ranging from 1/20 oz. to 10kg for the gold coins and from ½ oz. to 10 kg for the silver coins.

Visit Gainesvillecoins.com or call (813) 482-9300 today to reserve the limited edition 2011 Year of the Rabbit coins.

The Classics
The Perth Mint continues a tradition steeped in excellence with the 2011 release of these truly "classic" coins.

The "Gold Kangaroo"
Featuring the animal most instantly identifiable with the Commonwealth of Australia, the 2011 Gold Kangaroo coins will be produced in limited mintages. No more than 350,000 1 oz., 100,000 ½ oz., 150,000 1/4 oz., and 200,000 1/10 oz. coins will be produced. In addition to these weights, a 1 kg. size will also be available.

The "Silver Koala"
This year's Silver Koala coin will be produced without mintage limit in 1/2 oz., 1 oz., 10 oz., and 1 kg. sizes. As with each year, the design of the reverse of the coin will feature Australia's lovable, tree-climbing "bear." In 2011 the koala is shown sitting on a tree branch eating leaves.

The "Silver Kookaburra"
One can scarce go anywhere in the Australian bush without hearing the "laugh" of a Kookaburra. As a result, this tiny kingfisher has earned its place as one of the national symbols of Australia, and as the feature of one of the Perth Mint's most desired coins.
The Mint will produce no more than 500,000 1 oz. Silver Kookaburras in 2011, while a 10 oz., and 1 kg. version will be produced without limit.
Call (813) 482-9300 to speak with a bullion trader, or visit Gainesvillecoins.com today to reserve your piece of modern coin history.
