He leaves behind his loving children Jamal (Ibtisam), Jalal (Dianne), Basim (Carmen), Zuhair (Vicki), Maisun Totah (Ron), and 15 cherished grandchildren. Fuad was born October 7, 1933 in Ramallah, Palestine. At the age of 14, he came to America with his mother, Khadra. Fuad and Mary settled in San Francisco where they raised their family and operated several grocery stores. For decades Fuad committed himself to serving the Arab-American community. He worked with and helped found many community organizations including the Arab Grocers Association, the Arab Cultural and Community Center, and the Middle East Children's Alliance. Fuad was a devoted follower of the Orthodox Christian faith and helped establish Saint George Orthodox Church in San Francisco. Throughout the 1970s, he coached an adult soccer team as well as teams for children aged 8 to 18.
