Trust God with your finances
September 8, 2010
"... Put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need."
--Malachi 3:10
Do you trust God?
Now, I know you believe you do, but let me ask you this. Are you willing to trust everything you have and everything you are to the Lord Jesus and believe that he is able to satisfy every longing of your heart?
You see, there are many people who have trusted God with their eternal future but have never really trusted him with their earthly finances. And that's precisely why God says to you and me in today's verse, "Put me to the test and see what I'll do. I want to bless away your need!"
Our God is abundantly generous! And thankfully, when we trust him, he doesn't bless us according to our greed, but to satisfy our need. Consider the testimony of the poor widow in Mark 12 who gave her all to the temple treasury. Her actions proved that her faith was not in her money, but in her Master!
What does your money say about your faith? Are you trusting in what you have... or in the One who holds your life in his hand?
Trust God with the details of your life. Everything you need, he will supply according to his riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
OUR GOD IS ABUNDANTLY GENEROUS!
