Sunset Jazz Live | Sunset Jazz Live August 7 (Sat), 21 (Sat) & 28 (Sat) Location: Keihanna Commemorative Park 6-1 Seikadai, Seika-cho, Soraku-gun Inquiries: Tel. 0774-93-1200 Admission fee to Suikei-en: Adult \200 yen Elementary and junior high school students \100 yen People over 60 years old are free of charge. Access: Kintetsu Kyoto Line to Shin-hosono Station or JR Gakkentoshi Line to Hosono Station and 8 minute ride on Nara Kotsu Bus - Route Nos. 36, 47 or 48 Kintetsu Keihanna Line to Gakken Nara Tomigaoka station and 14 minute ride on Nara Kotsu bus. Get off at Watashi-no-shigoto-kan Station for Suikei-en. Get off at Keihanna Kinen Koen Station for Shibafu-hiroba 50-minute drive from Kyoto by taking Route 24 and Keinawa Expressway, getting off at Seika-gakken I.C. and going on the Seikadai-dori street.

Top professional artists from Japan and abroad will perform a live concert. Access: 15 minute walk from Higashi Maizuru Station of JR, or Kyoto Kotsu Bus to Shiyakusho-mae stop from the Station.
Uji River Firework Festival | Uji River Firework Festival August 10 (Tues) Location:Uji Koen Park in the Nakanoshima area of Uji River, Uji City Inquiries:Uji City Tourism Association Tel: 0774-23-3334 A vast display of sound and light by around 7,000 fireworks unfolds in the night skies over the Uji Bridge.
Access:15-minute walk from Uji Station of JR Nara Line, or 8-minute walk from Uji Station of Keihan Uji Line.
Yakuno Kogen Festival | Yakuno Kogen Festival August 29 (Sun) (scheduled) Location: Yakuno Kogen/ Hirano, Yakuno-cho, Fukuchiyama City Inquiries: Yakuno Kogen Festival Execution Committee Tel: 090-6820-5774 The festival is a major event held at the Yakuno Kogen Plateau. There will be many wonderful events including a flea market and concession stands.
