Everyone's favorite Mediterranean mash-up merchants, Balkan Beat Box, return to North American stages this summer with a whirlwind, five-date run in the U.S. and Canada. BBB is touring in support of last year's Blue Eyed Black Boy album — but are also previewing new material from their upcoming Nat Geo Music release, due out in January 2012.
If you haven't had the chance to see Balkan Beat Box live yet, don't sleep on this tour — BBB built their reputation on their high voltage live shows, injecting punk rock intensity and hip-hop swagger into their jazzy re-invention of Balkan and Mediterranean tradition. And this mini-tour is just a prelude to a larger September tour that will see them hitting the west coast and South America.
