Two anti-war events in San Francisco

April 9th at the Episcopal Church of St. John the Evangelist (15th and Julian Streets, San Francisco), starting at 6 pm
April 10th in Dolores Park at 11 am

On April 9th, the Arab Resource and Organizing Center (AROC) presents an evening with Malalai Joya entitled "Ending the War in Afghanistan." Joya has been called "the bravest woman in Afghanistan." She was the youngest member elected to the Afghan Parliament but was suspended for denouncing the warlords and the US/NATO war and occupation. The evening will include music by Kaylah Marin and light refreshments. There is a suggested donation of $10 - $25, but no one will be turned away.

On April 10th, AROC will lead a Rally Against the Wars at Home and Abroad, also featuring Malalai Joya. This rally is a call to: bring home U.S. Troops; stop threats of war against Iran, North Korea and Yemen; end U.S. support for the occupation of Palestine; end to FBI raids and persecution of minority communities, and will serve as a demand for jobs, education and social services in America for all people.
