Public Programs TCM Free Clinic at the CCC This April, the CCC is holding the first Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Free Clinic, held in collaboration with licensed acupuncturists, herbalists, and practitioners from the International TCM Symposium of San Francisco. The clinic will feature bilingual lectures on Dietary Therapy, focusing on the particular seasonal transition between winter and spring. Lectures will focus on the use of foods that tonify internal organs and systems as they correlate with the principles of the Five Elements: Earth, Wind, Fire, Water, and Metal. The community is invited to attend the both lectures and all-day clinic visits with licensed practitioners, who will also be on hand to prescribe and provide patient-specific herbal remedies. Visual Arts Don't Miss the In Search of Roots Exhibition In Search of Roots interns celebrate the opening of their exhibition in the CCC Gallery. The In Search of Roots Program's exhibition is still on view at the CCC gallery until April 20. The show highlights the journeys of each of the CCC's 2009-2010 Roots Interns, and makes for a fantastic experience in and of itself. The 2010 In Search of Roots Book, which chronicles the Rooter's experiences through essay, photo collage, and travelogue, is also available for purchase as a $50 donation. Beginning on March 25, the show will be held in the Paul G. Allen building and the David Packard Building and is open weekdays from 8:30am to 5:00 pm. Zheng Chongbin in conversation with Tony Godfrey This Saturday March 26, Xianrui 2011 artist Zheng Chongbin will discuss contemporary ink painting and his upcoming show, White Ink, opening at the CCC in May. Art Historian Tony Godfrey will host the conversation, which will be held at the Asian Art Museum's Samsung Hall, at 200 Larkin St.
