| Happy Holidays from the Chinese Culture Center!
And thank you to everyone who has supported our work throughout 2010. This year has marked a number of milestones for us, and it's been our honor to share some of them with you. In the past twelve months, the CCC has
· Brought cultural and artistic programming to over 30,000 people · Held the first ever free, outdoor concert in Chinatown
- Increased our membership base by 250%
· Took art to the streets in a new public art initiative
Held three visual arts exhibitions highlighting different innovative expressions of our community's evolving artistic tradition
· Fostered our youth's connection and commitment to their culture by sending three teams of interns to China to research their geneology
- Sent over 2,500 portraits of Bay Area Chinese Americans to Shanghai for the World Expo Digital wall exhibition
· Brought award winning artists and musicians to the community · Worked with an international network of over 200 artists
In 2011 we look forward to building on the intersection of tradition, innovation, and vision to continue bringing the highest quality programming to you, our champions and supporters. This Holiday Season, join us and add your own voice to community empowered by its diversity, history, and dynamic culture.
