Scholarship for teacher certification in Japanese at Cal State LA: Deadline is Dec 1 California State University, Los Angles announces that with support from the Japan Foundation, in Winter 2011 it will offer $300-$1,000 per person tuition subsides (depending on the umber of applicants) for primary or secondary school teacher of the Japanese language who need university credits or units toward renewing or receiving their teacher certification. The available courses are: JAPN 307 Japanese Literature in Translation (4 units) Tuesday and Thursday: 4:20 pm - 6:00 pm (King Hall B3015) JAPN 400B Advanced Reading and Composition (4 units) Monday and Wednesday: 4:20 pm - 6:00 pm (King Hall B2012) JAPN 403 Contrastive Analysis of Japanese and English Structures (4 units) Tuesday and Thursday: 6:10 pm - 7:50 pm (King Hall B2012) The Winter quarter runs from January 3, 2011 to March 11, 2011. Up to ten applicants will be selected on a first-come first-serve basis. The application deadline is December 1, 2010.
