We urge members of the Arab Community to attend the Native American Sunrise Ceremony at Alcatraz this Thursday morning. The sunrise ceremony is to commemorate the ethnic cleansing and loss of homeland for Native communities.
Directions to the Alcatraz gathering: go to Fisherman's Wharf, Pier #33 between 4:30 AM and 6:00 AM on Thanksgiving morning. Boats depart for Alcatraz starting at 4:45 AM. Boat tickets cost $14 (children under 5 ride free). You can purchase advance tickets at Alcatraz Cruises or call (415) 981-7625.
