Los Angeles Kimono Club event, Sept 26 The Los Angeles Kimono Club will have a special occasion on Sunday, September 26, at 4:00 pm at Keiro Retirement Home, Community Room, 325 South Boyle Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90033.
In this occasion, Mrs. Makiko Ihara, wife of Consul General of Japan in Los Angeles will accept the title of the honorary president of LA Kimono Club, and Sodo International Contribution Award to Mme. Fumi Akutagawa, advisor of the club will be receognized. Fee $30 including meal and donation to Keiro Retirement Home. Contact (818) 703-0208 or email stakase@earthlink.net Pasadena Japanese Cultural Institute Annual Bazaar, October 3 The annual Pasadena Japanese Cultural Institute Bazaar will be held on the first Sunday of October at 595 Lincoln Ave, Pasadena, CA 91103. The martial arts groups will perform demonstrations, and vendors, including the Pasadena Nikkei Seniors will be selling homemade items. This is a great jump-start for the holiday shopping season and of course there is the delicious food.
